Why is it important to look for a school that has been certified by the
British Council?
To be accredited by the British Council means the school follows a
curriculum of known quality standards. Being acknowledged by the British
Council is prestigious because its standards are incredibly high. The
accreditation system provides the students an extra warranty for a
quality choice and gives the language schools a series of benefits and
better chances to advertise themselves. The British Council accredited
schools (almost all of them) feature the accreditation logo on top left
Visas
for English studying students
If you are not an Italian
citizen, please visit the UKBA website (Student Visitor Visa & Extended
Student Visitor Visa). It is possible to watch a video guide on the
website from YouTube, that is available in many languages, about visas.
When do the courses
start? The
courses start every Monday, all year round.
How
many students per course? Maximum
of 14 students for any course and all classes are international.
What
is the entry test? It is a test that certifies your level of
knowledge and allows you to be assigned to a corresponding class. After
having taken the test you could start your course immediately.
What
are the schedules? Usually
the schools are open from 8:30 through 19:30, and are closed on
weekends.

You can purchase them once you are in London.

there age limits to attend the Callan courses? No. Students

of living
A minimum budget of £ 800 per month is necessary to study and live in
London’s Zone 2 and £ 600 per month for London’s Zone 3 onwards, as
recommended by the British Government. This is in addition to the cost
of your courses. Your budget will depend on the type of accommodation
you will select and on your social behaviour. Need help to find

Travels
London has five large airports plus the Eurostar. Once in London you
will soon learn to use the famous subway, or 'tube', thanks to the easy
maps that are everywhere. There is also a fast train network that goes
all over the city and surrounding areas, to the city’s many railway
stations, and thousands of two-story red buses. It is recommended to
purchase the "Oyster Card", which is a public services subscription that
is valid on all these means of transportation. It can be recharged with
any amount, thereby avoiding the subway queue (the Oyster Card has
to be "dragged" on the reader coming in/going out from the subway
station and the small "gate" will open automatically).
Why study English in London?
As everyone knows, a language is learned more easily and much quicker in
the country where it is spoken, not in your own country. You can work
hard at home, but studying in Italy won’t be as effective as studying
and living in London or in other areas of England. Remember that
studying English won’t be a duty, it will be a pleasure that will
offer you huge benefits. English will give you access to plenty of
knowledge, experiences, places, people and stories that will enrich you.
Studying English is, in our opinion, a pleasurable and engaging life
experience, to be remembered with nostalgia. "Good times" after all!
